Florida Institute ofTechnology is authorized by the Washington Student Achievement Council and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree-Granting Institutions Act. This authorization is subject to periodic review and authorizes Florida Institute of Technology to offer field placement components for specific degree programs. The Council may be contacted for a list of currently authorized programs. Authorization by the Council does not carry with it an endorsement by the Council of the institution or its programs. Authorization by the Washington Student Achievement Council to operate as a degree-granting institution does not imply approval of the educational offerings by other state agencies (e.g., Washington State Professional Educators Standards Board, Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission, etc.). The institution is responsible for ensuring it meets the standards of these other agencies, if applicable to its offerings.
